This is a very important project in that it will show what can be done with the countless 60s style malls littering metro Toronto from one end to the other. I'd eventually like to see the same thing done to Dufferin Mall about 10-15 blocks to the south east.

One could easily repeat this 100s of times in various locations.

I started my first photo thread documenting a recent trip to Halifax, Nova Scotia. Have a peek: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=724898

Wonderful project! That mall is embarrassing. Derelict, crappy shops, no food court, and a (bad) 70s time warp. I always walked past it on the way to Rehearsal Factory. The nearby McDonald's and the parking lot around it are also soulless. Looks like the Community Center is also going.

Gives me hope for what can be done with all the other failing strip malls in Toronto.

Wow, that's a huge development. How many units are estimated?

The area is unrecognizable in those renderings.
