I think sapphire would look better as a dark blue. I have not made a desicion about the globe thing. It does look alittle tacky however it gives it individuality and character.

Sapphire tower looks very Indian.

sapphire tower looks like poo. Lost opportunity for a really nice addition to the skyline. Why does a mass dampener have to look so tacky?

So most people dont like sapphire because because of the globe thing at the top right? Do you think that the tower would look that much better without it? I think it would, but then its just another Spherical building in Toronto.

I strongly dislike the blandness of all the new condos, if Toronto is to compete with the World it needs both "bland" and unique buildings, I like where the Trump building is going, great addition to the skyline, however, the sapphire building will be a powerful new symbol for a long time if built. A new city with indeed a MULTICULTURAL touch. If all the buildings look different to me, all the better, adds to Toronto as a unique city.

Most of what you are looking at has only been recently completed, this development still has along ways to go also.

I can't believe how crystal clear that shot is. I really like the bunched look of Cityplace. It doesn't appear that they are sparsely spread apart even though there is a sizable area between each building. Cityplace is already looking dynamite and the best has yet to come.

we need MORE height on that skyline, and DEFINATELY MORE height around the gardiner downtown, along Young Street and EAST side

Wouldn't it be fair to say that Toronto needs more heights...everywhere?

From UT. A look at "Spadina Gate" when West One is done (borrowed from the photographer above).

Quite a great streetwall effect for both sides of Spadina when it'll be completed.

Wow, what an incredible pic. Funny how just 10yrs ago, the tallest building on Spadina was 11 stories (Adelaide/Spadina). That record sure got smashed with Cityplace. Honorouble mentions to Hudson.

that last rendering of the building is NICE...good addition...it really does "fill in the cracks" and doesnt look so disorganized...hopefully it gets built.
