Glad to see we're in the boom again.
Hopefully Toronto isn't left with stumpys like the bay/adelaide center.

BTW, does anyone have pics of North York's Yonge St. corridor. That area is booming.
I took a couple friends from outta town to that area a while back, and they asked if it was part of downtown T.O.

Dismantling terminals and rebuilding new terminals. 2 of 3 terminals will eventually be rebuilt.

I like the Ritz a lot. The Murano towers bug me though because they look like blatant copies of Richard Meier's Perry Street towers.

Ah Murano. Though it maybe a knock off, it looks great (compared to the ugly Chrysler building knock-offs) and is a big improvement to what currently exists along that strip of Bay st.

What's the deal with the ritz? I haven't heard of that one before. Are they actually building it? And if so, where? It would be awesome to get a building like that.

I had originally posted up my own version from a patched up picture comprised of 3 different screenshots of the picture of the Ritz from the Star. But someone from UrbanToronto posted a better copy so I just posted it here.

"The Murano towers bug me though because they look like blatant copies of Richard Meier's Perry Street towers."

What??? I think the Perry Street Towers are great, but they are nothing like Murano at all. If anything, Murano is very much like Spire....flat, full-glass skined buildings. Meier's towers and Murano have a similarity in that they both borrow heavily from early modern aestetics...but this is going on all over. And Murano is 40 story condos on Bay Street for $150k USD...not 16 storey buildings in the Village for people like Calvin Klein and his $14 million apartment (doesn't Meier live there himself? ).

Perry Street
