would have been very interesting seeing an international train connection from Australia

A hypothetical hyperloop to Jakarta perhaps?

Prohibit the construction of new single-family dwellings without stacking apartments in Amsterdam (A10), Rotterdam (motorway ring), The Hague, Utrecht (outer ring), Eindhoven (ring), Tilburg (ringbanen) and Groningen (provincial ring)!

And prohibit the use of agricultural land for new dwellings!

Making my own accounts (unofficial) daily trains = 2.5 x 2 x 2 = 10 trains x 365 seats = 3,650 seats per day. 3,708 passengers between 3,650 seats = 101% occupancy.

The line has more relevance for passengers traveling between cities without air link with Seville or Málaga, not so Barcelona-Sevilla.
Add the more than 880.000 who prefer air travel between ElPrat and seville and you get about 50/50 split between rail and air ... add to that the 0% available capacity margin ... to me seems complete nonsense.

On the other hand air travel between both cities is increading some wealty 7,6% per year ... down from 1.1 million before the AVE but recovering again to those numbers

Long, long time ago one could go to the Netherlands non-stop from Saint-Petersburg. Rotterdam/Hook of Holland and then one could continue on a boat to the UK. Prague was until 2016 and stopped at Amsterdam and Utrecht and went via Arnhem to Germany.
