What is this kind of building?

At Saint Patrick's Road, beside St Pat's School:

View thru gate at St Pat's Road.

^Zooming in on the house with a small dome.

^Landscape feature in front of house

^Entrance.... What's that black thingy?
Someone living in there?

^Small chimney?

^Looks so Melaka-like...
Detail of dome shown....

^Headless lampost?

Yay! Greg solves the first mystery!

Anyway the double storey building had Dutch-like roofing and the dome looks Dutch too

The single storey bungalow looks like some of those sea-front mansion at Port Dickson ....esp the patio area with those semi-circular steps and a large garden....

So this is a 'guess the owner/building purpose' thread and not a question thread?

Should have known!

Actually not a single part of this building suggested that it is a Malay residence........why did you think so?

I've personally seen many yellow-coloured residences which are not Istanas

And I've not seen any istanas which are yellow hehehe
