Lehrter Stadtbahnhof was a listed building and it was destroyed anyway, am I right? Maybe people could break that rule again...

Amazing architecture , just out of this world for me since I don't live in Europe , I guess there're still corners and towns that resembles those in pictures above , but the original architecture of the whole City and town with the same style of the old days makes me want to turn back the clock and blend in there ...to be one of the people there ...!

From Canada , here we have quite a lot of old buildings that still remain but no where near the scale you guys have there despite ww1 and 2, there are still wonderful towns around Europe with architecture like that aren't there ? I never get tired to see fotos of old Europe .

Oh yes, the most beautiful towns on earth, for every temper and every language. WWII caused the most damage, especially in Germany. One can't imagine the amount of cultural heritage lost back then. But is it true you guys aren't allowed to display fireworks on new year's eve?

Poor little house (16th century) survived the war, subsequently got demolished for...

And for firework , what kind of firework you were talking about? is it the one you light up yourself or the one the every City shoot them up in the sky for every one to celebrate the new year with ? we have the second one .

In Germany, we do both. Just heard of an exchange student who was quite disappointed she wasn't allowed to display a private firework like it is pretty common over here

A building from 1400, already 1893 demolished

These postcards are just beautifully coloured, true gems. Would love to see them in big scale or printed on a shirt or sth like that
