These little Dalmatian towns are nice to visit them during summer time and spend there 2 or 3 weeks, but it is horrible to live there… I lived 2 years in Makarska. It is beautiful town durung the summer - girls, parties, wine, swimming - but during winter you are bored to death

I think Long Foot doesnt like these little Dalmatian towns because of lack of highrise buildings Although it is quite true that these towns literally hybernate during the winter, but when spring comes they start to blossom with a great night life, fun and joy of true mediterranien charm

Its true things become very quiet in the cooler months, but thats a way of life no matter which part of the planet it is. Winter quietens everything, its just that in bigger cities, you can get better by in the cold months with more things to do.

But Arpels is right too, sometimes its nice to enjoy quiet tranqulity away from the chaos of big cities, even if its in the middle of winter.

One way to fix these problems is better transport. A lot of this places need better links to bigger cities so life isnt so boring. Even Dubrovnik in the dead of winter can be such a ghost town. Even where I originally came from like the city of Zadar is so dead in winter, but in summer it swells with life and fun. I personally like the way the seasons change, I'd hate it if it was non-stop summer all year round.

BTW - Nice pics Bubach, what is next on the menu????

about 520 kilometres away, and it is more of a small village than a city, it is only 12km from Dubrovnik so it is quite near major tourist spot.
