The site with the parking lot is owned by the national railways (PKP) -- there's a railway line going underneath it. Unfortunately it's highly unlikely that things will be built there anytime soon. There was a plan for a skyscraper, but it was scrapped as far as I know, and at best it's being reconsidered.

Btw, the parking lot in its current state looks much, much worse than how it's presented in the picture. The investor basically did some damage control in photoshop to make it look more presentable.

Great add and so proud watching skyscrapers swarming in my city. Long awaited touchdown.

I like design of the Sky Tower itself, however not its accompanying lower building block. But I also think it is currently too tall in comparison to the surroundings. Even the auxilliary wing building is already taller than anything else in the area. Sky Tower needs some accompanying 20-30 story highrises in the area (there are some big empty lots which could be utilized before a developer decides to just build the next bland 8-story appartement block there).
Anyway, I call Sky Tower the "Pen**" of Wroclaw" (the auxilliary building are its balls).

Now back to this project here: Good to hear that the parking lots is planned to be used in a different way (park or building block, anything is better than the current situation). If that lot is being built up I suggest that a small triangle in front of the Varso tower will be transformed into a small park/plaza. That would make a more impressive appearance from the ground level of the Varso tower and any possible tower opposite of it.

That is what I hoped. I was afraid that the investor wants to upgrade the current wild parking lot into the rendered "neat" parking lot. But good that it is not part of the project.

The potential around in this neighborhood regarding high rise investments is great. I hope I won't recognize the place in a decade.

Can't wait to see this beauty go up in Warsaw. Really hope the parking lot is redeveloped in some form though.

When was this tower first proposed? (this international thread was created in 2016 but the news would have come in the polish section far earlier)

HB Reavis announced the project in august 2015, but didn't show any renders until now.

From what I know there was a whole skyline planned in Wrocław before the crisis and most of it supposed to be next to the Sky Tower (Centrum Południowe) doesn't seem like it happens any time soon if ever though...

It would be good if he did that as a temporary solution because left as it is it will look even more ridiculous because of the contrast

They bought the plot at the end of 2011. No official renders till now, not a single word from Foster either. Previous info was mostly based on leaks and rumors. They didn't want to show the full project before securing all building permits, a rather annoying trend for skyscraper fans but at least we don't have to wait in suspense for construction to start now

Not a bad tower. Cieling heights for each floor look to be pretty high too. Around 14ft maybe?

I hope that the project to change in a short time, Warsaw did not need this (sorry) ugly building.

That's how it is going to look like in Warsaw skyline (look from northern part of the city)

Nice building. But I hope if they build this huge antenna that they will remove the extra mech equipment that clutters up the original PoCS spire.
