There's one thing missing in the West Coast forums, and thats rep. for the North Bay! SF people, pay a visit to your neighbor across the Golden Gate Bridge! Some activities include: hiking, hiking, hiking, the In'nOut Burger, hiking, and...hiking!
All right, time for some pics. (Not Mine)Mill Valley, California-only 13 miles north of SF. Take note that the houses in center are only a fraction of the residential area in the city; the rest spreads out like a maze in the surrounding mountains. Also happens to be where I live Here's Belvedere Island, a veery expensive residential district, with Angel Island in the background. Another one of Belvedere Island, this time with the GGB in background Corte Madera, just over the mountain from Mill Valley. Richmond Bridge in background San Francisco from Sausalito The Belvedere Lagoon Sausalito house boats and Strwberry Point (Mill Valley) in back Fog rolling into Sausalito Sausalito again. The little scatter of houses you see right under the big mountain (Mt. Tamalpais) is Mill Valley Sausalito Homes Bayside Homes in Tiburon Southern Marin and San Francisco I guess I'll go out this weekend and take some pics of my own, but it might not happen.

I must've mixed it up with the San Mateo Bridge. The Richmond Bridge connects Richmond and San Rafael, and San Anselmo is like a siamese twin of San Rafael (the same street crosses city borders like four times in some areas. Crazy
). That's why I messed up.

I don't think I've ever posted this picture of San Francisco yet here in this thread, but it's one of my favorite pictures of the San Francisco Skyline.

Panama-Pacific International Exposition, 1915
Don't you wish most of these buildings weren't demolished. A lot of these building were extremely gorgeous, they'll be truly missed. A Pano of the area, you can see the Palace of Fine Arts with the #17 of the top.

O thank you for this GREAT collection of buildings at the Panama-Pacific Exposition, bv3!
I am truly grateful that the Palace of Fine Arts survived. But it's sad to see that the other buildings, some of them so whimsical and fantastically ornate, have vanished.

Great find insomniac, I really like the SFO pic, I wonder how the newly renovated Old International Terminal looks now.
