Great set of photos, but lacking in Cardiff photos - time to fix the problem

Cardiff Castle - Norman Keep

Cardiff Castle - view from Bute park

City Hall

National Museum of Wales

Cardiff University

Civic Centre + skyline

Civic Centre

Millennium Stadium

Wales Millennium Centre

Roath park lake

Scott memorial

Pierhead building

Cardiff Bay

That'll do for the time being I reckon

Contrasts of Old & New Architecture In Manchester

Being a city full of history & heritage along side being a modern & new city, there is an abundance of views like this in Manchester (sorry about the watermarks):

The CIS tower behind victorian buildings:

The Bank of England in the heart of the CBD:

A Victorian spire behind a wall of glass:

Ancient cathedral buildings in the shopping district:

The museum of urban life next to the historic corn exchange:

Reflectons:

Bars and warehouses:

The bank of england:

The GMEX centre:

Inside the royal exchange centre:

The dome:

The daily express building:

yhup, it was built in 1939, great building. The architect (Sir Owen Williams ) also did buildings for the daily express in London and Glasgow:

The total eclipse of 1999

I remember it well...we had a man out to look at something (Pipes, TV, Windows...cant remember)...and we all went outside and just stood there looking at it.

I might do british traditions and celebrations on the next page.
