^I agree New York is the best out of all the major contenders. I would even say its the prime example for the whole world for urbanity.

Chicago is the clear winner. While New York may have 5 times as many buildings. Chicago haw 5 buildings over 300 m and two with atleast 100 floors. New York has two towers over 300 m and only one which is atleast 100 floors. The way the Chicago Skyline looks with its “Triple peaks” and the lake is just amazing. New York is a mass of many more buldings but when talking about the best skyline … its not always about massive quantity which wins. Chicago by far…..

New York City is the best and there is no question about it
. It already had skyscrapers when most competitors had trees and bushes and most of them still stand. The amount of skyrises is just overwhelming and the density is breathtaking, when looking at Manhattan from New Jersey or Queens it seems like a wall of skyscrapers, and when driving along the island one can have a feeling of driving through a canyon of tall buildings filled with people, history and life that never ceases !!! How can one doubt the superiority of skyline of the greatest city in the world?

I think New York's skyline will look even better with that new, er - freedom tower (?) they're building.

![]() How Sweet? Most ppl give it a 3rd or 4th place ranking for N/A. Toronto has a great skyline, but you would have to be delusional to say it is the best in North America. my ranking for top 5 in N/A 1. NYC 2. Chicago 3. Toronto 4. Seattle 5. Philadelphia |

I would say Chicago has the more impressive skyline...nothing in New York really stands out anymore and I would even say that it is a little dated. NYC is still the coolest, most cosmopolitan city in the US though but I don't think its skyline is the best anymore...
