Very interesting shots.
Is the haziness of the sky due to humidity, or air quality?

Actually, no.
Here are the tallest buildings in each city in 1964, according to Emporis:

Chic Mont
648' 623'
605' 617'
601' 590'
590' 430'
588' 400'
588' 400'
568' 397'
565' 361'
555' 322'
551' 318'

Average height of the ten tallest buildings in 1964:
Chicago 584', Montreal 448'.

IMO, Montreal is the finest city in North America, but not due to its skyline (which is OK, but not great), rather due to its general sophistication, charm, and joie de vivre.

Daily mean of Puebla is 17.2 ° C, I think it's because of cloudiness.

And in 1964, Boston slipped in and beat both of 'em!

Goes to show how far behind Montreal and Boston have fallen in terms of skyscrapers. Both were once big skyscraper cities. Very few people associate them with Boston and Montreal these days.

And to think 70 years ago, Calgary was a tiny prairie town. This is Calgary in the 1940s:

They're big enough.

Not when you have a 23" monitor in a 1920x1080 resolution! They look tiny from where I'm sitting. I like the 1280x1024 pictures myself, but can only do the 1024x768 on Photobucket. They even took away the ability to link to the full size pictures! I'm sick of giving them my money only to lose functionality year after year. At my next renewal I'm opening a flickr account.

This is actually the size the staff prefers here. We can't have too many people posting huge pics and slowing down the website. When they are on Flickr, I usually go back and resize them anyway.

Yeah, but it really depends on the pic. When you are doing full skyline shots, such as my 3rd shot in that post, it's nice to be a little bit bigger for the detail.

I'd say your pictures in particular would really benefit from one size larger. I often try to click into your flickr to fullscreen them (which I do with most interesting pics here, looks great and lets me see more gems from that photographer). However, your account is blocked or whatever, so I'm not able to do it. The 1024x768 really doesn't offer enough detail or clarity for those far away/aerial shots.
