Wow Toronto really looks big from street level. Especially the CN tower.

Take a walk up Yonge to Bloor Street. You'll see how big it really is.

By the way, as long as you're talking about Chicago over Miami superlatives, don't forget crime! Chicago has both the higher murder rate, and the most murders of any US city! Congratulations! No wonder your insecurities are showing.

Quantum, ignore this guy. Nobody here should care about the opinions of a 10 year old anyway.

Oh and since it seems like you were, in fact, born yesterday, here's some food for thought. 30 years ago Shenzhen didn't even exist as a city. Today, the skyline is now larger than Chicago's. Things change. Someday when you grow up you will realize that 2004 wasn't the first year in human history, even if it was the first year in yours.
Chicago was not only not #1 in total murders, that belonged to Detroit, but it's not even in the per capita top ten. It sounds like you are cherry picking here, just as you were accusing the other guy of doing.

In case you didn't know, there are lot of new high rise projects under construction with many more on the horizon. Any objective side by side taken every five years or so is going to show huge differences. Chicago has created a whole new lakeside neighborhood of skyscrapers including the Aqua just in the past 6 years.

There is something to be said about the duration of a city's history influencing the culture. Chicago is not as old or as large as New York. But Chicago is one of the handful Global Cities that matter. It has an enormous influence on America in terms of architecture, food, media, and style. This influence continues to this day. I don't think the other poster was insecure, just justifiably proud to be the 3rd largest metro in the country with all the benefits of an being an Alpha World City.

C'mon! Let's not forget we're talking about skylines here guys. About the other poster not feeling insecure, it's as if you didn't follow the whole conversation. I posted a nice artistic photo of Chicago with the lake iced over in the foreground and he starts with me feeling insecure.

Aqua is probably the most overrated building I have ever seen in person. It only looks good when you get REALLY close and can see the undulating effect of the balconies. The glass itself is pretty lousy. Legacy at Millennium Park is the much nicer looking residential from this time period, but kind of gets lost in the shuffle.

Just so people know what you're talking about. I was very much impressed with Legacy. It doesn't get lost in the shuffle for me. It's a great update of the Chicago skyline.

Am I the only one who thinks Pittsburgh has a really cute and compact skyline? Totally underrated in mi opinion.

I imagine lots of people like it but don't mention it due to its size.

Cleveland. Not the biggest or best, but it's really a nice looking skyline. Pretty underrated, imo, along with Pittsburgh!

If you say so, but I've always preferred larger skylines, and I'm talking 40 years of being a skyscraper enthusiast.
