One of the best Panama City shots in a long time. Regarding Staten Island, does one feel as disconnected from New York as the geography would suggest?

Yes, very. Even the more suburban eastern parts of Queens feel more a part of/connected to the city than most of Staten Island. It only has two connections to the rest of New York (the SI Ferry and the Verrazano Narrows bridge), but it has 3 (much shorter) bridges to New Jersey. There was a subway tunnel connecting Manhattan to the Island but that has been long abandoned. At least the ferry is free and very reliable so that's something.

That rocky coastline of Panama looks beautiful! Love it.

That Boston shot is awesome too. Will it soon not be a plateau though?

I know Boston has a new hotel project that will be around the same height as the Hancock Building so that will probably break the plateau.

A couple stunning aerials of Boston that I found on flickr.

Back Bay with the Big 2. New 3rd tallest at CSC (currently digging the hole) should be visible behind and just to the left of the Prudential.

I made this pic slightly larger so make sure to scroll. You can see the Millennium Tower (soon to be 3rd, then 4th, tallest in the city) U/C in the middle/left, just below that black building with the black box on top and to the left of the stubby building with the clock. In the next few years there will be a handful of new large towers ~400-600' built in front of the Zakim Bridge towards the upper left, with one of them currently out of the ground.
