It is one of my favorite tall buildings in the world. I can stare at it for long time and never get tired... almost like a brand new love affair. The window details are magnificent. The base of the building, although not as celebrated as the truncated stair shafts and the pyramid pinnacle, is also quite astonishing.

Once Brookfield (247m) and Telus (222m) go up the Calgary skyline will be a north American top 10 contender. Brookfield is at grade and Telus is under going site prep. I currently have Calgary in 11th or 12th spot.

Denver skyline is underrated imo. it should be on the top 20 list.

Doing a top 20 is a bit ambitious but I took a stab at it a few years back. I'll try another one. Denver just sneaks into my top 20:

01. New York
02. Chicago
03. Toronto
04. Los Angeles
05. Houston
06. Panama City
07. San Francisco
08. Miami
09. Seattle
10. Atlanta

11. Philadelphia
12. Calgary
13. Mexico City
14. Vancouver
15. Montreal
16. Boston
17. Dallas
18. Minneapolis
19. Pittsburgh
20. Denver

Definitely around that area. Can't wait to see those two rise into the skyline.

that surprsied me given how dense Calgary can look from a distance.

on the subject of a top 20, it gets tough for me. IMO, it can be a bit of a toss-up once you reach those 'mid-tier' skylines after the 9th or 10th position. I would put Calgary at number 9, just ahead of Miami and Philadelphia. Miami should easily eclipse Calgary in the next decade if most of its projects come to fruition, even if shorter than proposed. However, until then Calgary is still taller. It also has more towers than Philadelphia despite the fact that Philly's taller towers flirt about with the supertall mark. I would probably place Boston at number 12 with the other notable skylines of Canada somewhere following.
