I'm not from Vancouver, but I think those lights on top of the mountain is for downhill skiing. Grouse Mountain? Here's a photo:

One of my favourite Calgary shots:

Boom town where the prairie meets the Rockies.

New York City looks great from afar, so it get's my vote for the best in NA. Then....

Chicago, San Francisco, Toronto, and Seattle. In a couple of years, I'd replace Seattle with LA, but not yet.

North America makes me envious. Full of beautiful impressive skylines. And most of them would even suite very well into Europe...

New York is still untouchable. Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles, Montreal, Seattle, and Vancouver all have great qualities to them.

New York have better individual buildings, but Chicago have the most balanced skyline in the world, the harmony is perfect. NY is more chaotic.

New York is definitely the best from every angle. Chicago is a very close second. Then Toronto.

1. NYC
2. Chicago
3. Toronto
4. Philadelphia
5. Seattle
6. Montreal
7. Los Angeles
8. San Francisco
9. Miami
10. Vancouver (not the prettiest but very impressive at night).
11. Atlanta
12. Minneapolis
13. Calgary
14. Dallas
15. Boston

If Detroit got five new skyscrapers taller than 40 stories it would be in the top 5.

All of these skylines look bigger than their actual population and have the variety and layers that make a skyline so interesting.
