Yes, 10 or 15 years ago it probably would have been on more lists but there are so many cities in NA that have grown so much more that being pretty just can't counteract being that much smaller.

They didn't help their cause in the high rises they chose to build. The CBD aside, the skyline only looks nice from a distance.

Houston is really under rated.

Hmmm. I disagree. There is not much to the Houston skyline, in my opinion.

I think Houston looks good when its layers are exposed

Definitely not the biggest or best skyline, but the angles that show off the newer/shiny towers in Houston make it look like some perfect modernist utopia. Clean and simple.

Houston's skyline is fairly big but it has never captivated me. Not sure why. I've never been taken by Atlanta skyline either although I do like that photo posted above.

How tall is that building under construction in the Monterrey photo?

I don't think it captivates anyone, really. And I think it's because most of the skyscrapers were built during a post modern 80s boom, and so it almost has the appearance of an office park on steroids, especially when viewed from the angle posted below my post. That's why I prefer when the older buildings are shown, because it doesn't look as boring and sterile. Although, there are some pomo towers I really love there, it's just together they don't really compliment each other all that well.

Older buildings:
