Calgary is stunning! It doesn't have the height of other cities, but the size is incredible.

For a small metropolis (1-1.5 million people), I think Calgary's skyline punches above its weight.

Beautiful Mexico City! El Angel is one of the most beautiful landmarks in North America imo.

What's that concrete tower with practically no windows?

DISCUSS: Best North American Skylines

I trust my fellow Mexicans to explain it with the correct details. Basically, it has Windows but towards the opposite side.

I think I know what you mean. Tiny windows on the outside, but with thick walls which are angled from the window inward out so that on the inside the 'opening' is much bigger.

Nope. The thing is I can't post other photos to see what I mean, but that photo shows the eastern side of the tower which is fully made of concrete and "carries" the whole tower that has zero columns. Because of that, the opposite side (W-SW) is all windows looking towards that side and the only obstacle is some tensors that help the wall to carry the whole building.

It's a very complex tower haha

Picture, explains it better

Remember MEX not only lies in an earthquake zone , but also its ground sits above underground water (which sinks and move, so that makes skyscrapers to demand complex and weird designs)

the other side...
