You do realize that Central America is a region within the continent of North America, much the same as the Pacific Northwest and the Caribbean, right? Evidently not based on your insane post.

Metro vancouver is made up of many cities and municipalities. The city of vancouver has less than 600,000 inhabitants but the total pop. in the metro region is close to 3 millions.

Stats Canada put metro Vancouver at approximately 2,391,000 for 2010.

dustin.feroz: nice Panama City pics! Keep them coming. It's not in my north American top 10 yet, but it might move there soon.

that doesn't include the fraser valley region which although not part of metro authority area, they are actually the bedroom communities of Vancouver.

That leaves only about 800,000 people in the whole province outside of the Fraser Valley and Vancouver Island. I'm always surprised how sparsely populated BC is. BC is, for the most part, empty!

Unofficially, the whole lower mainland which stretch from Horseshoe Bay in the west to Hope in the east and from the Districts of North and West Vancouver in the north all to way to the south close to the US border cover an area twice the size of PEI is the true greater Vancouver area.

Beside the Lower Mainland region, the Vernon-Kelowna-Penticton corridor in central BC and the Vancouver Island are the other most populated regions in our province..

Yep, that leaves about 90% of the province basically uninhabited. BC (4.5 million) is about 3 times the size of Germany (81.8 million) by area. Any how, here's Calgary:
