Gorki Leninskiye Manor

Leninsky District, Moscow Oblast

Built: 1909-1914

Commissioned by: Zinaida Morozova

Architect: Fyodor Schechtel



















After the revolution the manor was confiscated,
and used by Lenin to regain his health after an assassination attempt.
He later spent more and more time in the manor and eventually died there on January 21, 1924.

I've seen more than just yellow in this thread, but personally I prefer yellow and peach. Pastel colors in buildings change the psychology and mood when seen from afar, they are usually considered delicate, feminine and clean.

I understood, I thought it could be something characteristic Russian, like the Italian palaces all in pastel tones, thank you very much for the explanation.

When I visited St. Petersburg, a guide told me yellow was often used because it is the colour of the sun, which was welcome in the long winters of that latitude.
