A major project in Houston is going to transform the interstate infrastructure like no other. The $7 billion project is going to add 33 lanes to I-10/45 in Downtown Houston.

The plan includes tunneling I-69, which will be a 21 lane tunnel!

A possible rerouting of I-30 in the city of Dallas would include demolishing the 45 and 345 corridors in the city, as 45 would intersect with 30 on its new route.

Pegasus Link Constructors, who are the contractors currently wrapping up construction on the Horseshoe Project, have been selected to build the "Southern Gateway" project, which is an entire rebuild of the 35 and 67 corridors on the south side of the Trinity River. Construction to start before the end of the year.

Not to be a pain in the ---, but why does this thread exist? Unless we're going to stop the U.S. threads and start 50 (plus) separate threads for the states (and D.C., and....), it doesn't make sense in the organization of the forum, and it's easy to miss. (It's buried on page 3 at the moment, and if I was actually looking for something in Texas I'd look at the two U.S. threads that have existed forever.)

I agree, but sometimes in the past someone thought there were too many routes in Texas to be drowned in the general US thread

Also California and New York state, for example, have many roads if compared to Rhode Island.
Also Lombardy and Bavaria have more roads than other Italian or German regions. So the Ile de France, Ontario or Moscow oblast.

I don't think we need to start with sub-national threads, unless for territories that are de-facto independent or self-governing, such as Hong Kong, Transnistria, Greenland, or are very detached from their mainland, such as French Guyana, Gibraltar, Alaska, Hawaii.

However, this is just my opinion. It's none of my businesses and it's up to mods to decide.

I seem to remember having this same discussion about California some years ago. (Not you...some people in H&A.)

Maybe it can be made a sub-thread within one (or both) of the U.S. threads. Just a suggestion.
