The design is kind of neat in a way, but too hipster for New York City. The city would need to welcome at least a quarter million immigrants from Portland and Seattle to build the necessary hipster population for the design to fit, perhaps convert all social housing in Manhattan into college campuses. Don't even need to teach anything there, just have campuses where college students debate whether men shaving their legs creates more equality or appropriates feminine culture (while sipping chai latte and quinoa smoothies and listening to The Velvet Underground, but only ironically because of how dated they are.) With a properly hipster Manhattan, this would be a perfectly fitting design.

The Dubai Frame is just a little observation tower on the outskirts and not hijacking the complete skyline in any way like "The Big Bend" would.

This even made it to the news here in Sweden...stating it was a serious proposal. Anyway, it would ruin the beautiful skyline of Manhattan.

NOO leave these turd bag towers to some struggle fest country over seas that wants to swing their dick around and pretend that they mean something. New York does NOT have to do something like this to get noticed. This would destroy the skyline for the rest of NYC history. No, nah, negative, nope.
