It opened in 1999, and is home to the NHL's Los Angeles Kings, and Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers. Seats 18,500 for hockey, 19,000 for basketball and more for concerts... and I think Wrestlemania has been held here this year!

and as a bonus, you're gonna see what it looked like under construction!

Very cool... 8/10. Meh, it looks to me like more of a theme park atmosphere or shopping mall!

Wrestlemania XXI held on April 3, 2005 set the record attendance for the Staples Center when 20,193 fans showed up. The event sold out in less than 1 hour indicating that a much larger venue could have been booked.

I will give it a 9 since it does have a very good location, but it looses a point fro the fact that that it's sometimes overrated for an arena.

I give it a 9 out of 10. You should see it at night when like 20 search lights are beaming in the sky.

Plus at Christmas time, instead of blue, it lights up green and red.

Is is my imagination but the Staples Centre, LA is identical to Sydney's Superdome at Homebush?

Imagination. The interior of the Superdome is very akin to the Palace at Auburn Hills in suburban Detroit. The exterior is like a cross of GM Place and Charlotte's new arena.
