Vizag is the place of Eastern Naval Command
In the height of 1971 war with pakistan an enemy submarine came all the way to bombard the navl establishments in Vizag...but it was recognised and bombarded by an Indian destroyer class ship..INS Rajput... http://www.bharat-rakshak.com/1971/Dec05/Art03.htm to commemorate that event the navy has erected a war memorial along the beach road in Vizag

Remains of PNS Ghazi the destroyed Paksitani submarine off the coast of Vizag in the 1971 war with Pakistan.

Yes, its beautiful beach front image. Only if the "The Hindu" newspaper decides to replace their photographer with an 8 megapixel digital camera instead of 1950 1st color prototype thats still in use, we would have known the real beauty of the beach front.
