I do not know what to do. All those who have bought flats in Rufi tower please advise me.
Most of us already paid 90 or 95%
It is under construction but slow from few months now.
Today again, Tower A was working and nobody on tower B
Should be delivered in 2010, they informed about April, I believe more October/November 2010.

Guys, I don't really understand how you had paid 90% and more for a project lagging that much.... Seriously, I would hang up as soon as an agent is calling me.

From my side, it was a montlhy paiment plan organized by Rufi from 2005 to 2008 I think.. and as I bought it in 2008 (when the construction started well), then I had no other choice than to follow the contract...

I've paid 90% of it as well - The exchange rate was 7 to 1 so it has saved me a lot of money. Keep in mind that this money was all paid before the crunch. People who stopped paying their contracts have perpetuated the delays, as it has contributed to the developers running out of money.

May be. So how Rufi is going to complete the project then? Cancelling contracts and find new buyers?

No , I think they r waiting for real estate market to pick up again, so that they an start selling OFF PLAN.... They usuallay delay their projects , its their habits, no matter if all investors paid up 90 %. Becos they said that its only 10 % customers who defaulted with them. so meaning to say rest all might have paid around 90 %....

let's go rufi!

Just got this email today guys: "This is to inform you that we have already casted the 18th floor slab on Tower A and are waiting the green light from Dubai Municipality to move forward with the 19th Slab (ceiling of 18th Floor) and top roof floor on Tower A. In the meanwhile and in order not to stop activity on site we have tackled Tower B and 13th Slab is expected to be casted before December 15th 09. Furthermore block works' activity is progressing on lower floors."
With pics to prove it.

Hi,
I confirm, for the last few days, there is slow activities on Tower B and look like no more on tower A.
I went inside and saw that for the lower floors, block works was done, pipe also already installed
But still a massive work to do...

No one will try to get penalties from Rufi on this project? If so, what are the compensations offered by Rufi?

Actually there is a very nice clause put in the contract, If tehre are some investors in RTT , we can get all our money back from them,. ,. ,. generally this clause is not put in by all developers.

Agreed. I heard directly from Rufi that RERA considers it is normal in Dubai to have delayed projects. So nothing to hope...
