Airbus is currently in talks with IndiGo for an order for 100 A380s.

Yes, and they did a lot of talking with Air Turkey and Iran Air as well.

Air Turkey needs one to transport Erdogans bodyguards to beat up protestors all around the world.

To be deployed in a country with no airports and no real plans to build any...in effect. Sure.

I think Boeing is more likely to end the production of the 747 before Airbus terminates the A380.

I could suspect in the future the demand for A380's could rise as billions of people rise out of poverty and the economies grow to where many more people can afford to fly. Thinking about India, China and parts of Africa.

I agree. The A380 is used by a couple of Chinese airlines on domestic routes. Japan uses 747s within Japan, and I'm sure that there's room for the A380 there as well. There is a market for these planes, and Airbus needs to focus on these high-density/domestic markets. When it comes to the long-haul market, the A380, with its four engines, does not stand a chance with other, twin engine planes, especially with the 777-X.

They will bring out an updated A380 version soon. They successfully crushed Boeing B747 program and have now a monopoly in the extreme size aircraft market.

Wouldn't be surprised if they worked on an extreme range version to easily connected Australia with Europe.

World population is growing and people who can afford flight is growing even faster. Point to point is all nice, but the market and the number of hubs is growing as well.
