Just to update, the new station does unfortunately look very cheap, with most of it visable as corrigated metal. The new university building on the riverside though is the complete oposite, a very modern and high quality looking building, more befitting of a larger city. Also the new eco homes look quite good and is aparently the largest development of its type in Wales. Along with the eco homes its quite an eclectic mix of apartments and student halls along the river front, i quite like it as its very modern and makes the bridges look more impressive.

Here is an image of the replacement for the Cambrian centre. Not a patch on what was being planned a few years ago but then perhaps that was a bit ambitious - still a massive improvement on what is there currently and will add bulk and footfall to the city centre.

Not the most revealing image but the concrete on this is starting to poke above the hoarding. Difficult to tell but appears better than most of the white rendered blocks in that area.

Not sure on both of those developments, all depends on the quality of materials.

Re-cladding of the old royal mail offices/current IAC offices in Newport possibly coming up

Anything would be a massive improvement on this eyesore - especially as it can be seen from the train station
