CHONGQING | Caiyuanba Bridge Development News

this bridge is over 1 km long and the distance between two tall steel piers( each one is 202m) is 420m. it will be completed in 2005.

Huge bridge for 1 Km. distance only. Hmm I don't see the two tall structures of the bridge in the render for some reason.

The two tall towers are temporary. They are there to support the structure of the arch during construction and will be removed after the arch can bear its own weight.

I think there was a bridge in Shanghai built using the same technique.
