Lined with historic buildings on both sides, this street is a very popular market with many shops in the heart of the old city.

i've been to the street in the first few. absolutely love Guangzhou! much better than its reputation gives it cerdit for!!

That is good stuff. They should keep restoring more and more of the most notable buildings and clean up everything else. Then GZ would be a truly charming place, with quaint old neighbourhoods nestled among dense new developments in a huge city.
