Houston needs to start being Urban again as it was Pre-WWII, but by sprawling like in this photo, I highly doubt it. Also, If Houston is much larger and more populated than Dallas; then why does Dallas have a much more extensive train system?
Well actually, Dallas' metro area is about 400K larger than Houston. Second, though Dallas rail system is larger than Houston's (45-miles compared to 7.5 miles), Houston's carries 67% of Dallas' entire system (62,000 compared to 45,000). Even with Dallas' new expansion, Houston will surpass Dallas with its next expansion (both by 2012). Dallas will be at about 80 miles, and Houston at 40 miles.

Houston residents want rail. There will be a subway for the Uptown/Pink Line, too. There are four commuter rail lines that METRO (Houston) wants to get completed before 2015, too. I actually think two of the lines will be done by the time the light rail is finished by 2012.

there's a similar thing in Dallas because of the 1980s bust; look up all the cancelled early 80s towers in both cities.

I really like downtown Houston and vicinity, it is truly amazing how many buildings this city has. Now if they could stick a landmark building here and there it would be indescribable. 8.5/10

I think that the buildings has no personality, only NationsBank Center (the one with the tree funny tops.)
No, give me Dallas!
