7.5/10
Some interesting architecture (700 Louisiana), but it lacks density and most of the buildings are bland. Last edited by Wu-Gambino; February 15th, 2004 at 09:17 PM. |

Preferably, I dislike it. I like older skylines. 6.5 out of 10.

beautiful. i give it a 7.5 at this moment. but once it gets more scrapers, with the same great quality, it can have 8.0-9.5/10.

I really don't care for this skyline very much. For being smooth glass, the buildings just look kind of dull and tacky to me.

9/10 It's got multiple skylines, and one of my favorite buildings, the Williams Tower.

The Houston skyline is my favorite in all the U.S. In fact Houston has more skyscrapers than any other city in the U.S. except New York and Chicago. Also its downtown is 3rd behind New York and Chicago in tall buildings. World renowned architects designed some of the Houston skyscrapers. I think the flat landscape makes Houston skyscrapers look more grand and majestic. Clean, beautiful, modern and very interesting is what makes Houston's skyline my favorite. I even took a trip from Seattle to see these great skyscrapers.

This city has some very tall structures... but it lacks density and historical scrapers... and the lack of zoning allows for skyscrapers to be placed in all sorts of weird locations architecturally... this is largely a mix of modern and PoMo... the modern is largely horrible... and the PoMo is divided between some great examples... and some horrible failures... |

I really like this skyline - 9/10
It could easily be ranked in the world's Top 10, and compete with Seattle and Los Angeles for the rank of America's No 3 skyline, after New York and Chicago. |
