I think it scrapes by with a 9.5/10. It's a beautiful skyline but I think it's somewhere between 9 and 9.5. Maybe a 9.25? Plus, I don't think the above pictures do it justice. #412 is pretty good but the city's skyline looks smaller than it actually is there. I too saw it from an airplane and it looked much, much bigger from above (plus it seems like half of Houstonians have pools too)

Houston's skyline isn't elegant like Montreal or genteel like Quebec City. It's muscular and strong.

Oh ok.

Yeah, the tallest buildings can be very intimidating when your right next to them.

Individually Houston has nice and tall buildings and a good amount of them too; but for some reason they don't mix well together to create an appealing skyline..
Maybe its the skyscraper to high-rise/midrise ratio.
Maybe its the fact that outside the main cluster theres almost nothing but two story buildings, parking lots and townhouses (except for medical center)
Maybe its because of the abundance of architectural styles as I see mostly pomo.

Isaidso hit the nail on the head when he used "muscular"
I'll also give it an 8.
8.5 if Williams tower was downtown.

The skyline maybe tall, but I can't help think of the skyline as really bland. I'm just not feeling any of the Texas skyline, even Dallas. I gave this skyline quite a high rating, but if you compare it to other skylines of the US, this is just forgettable

Here are some photos of the Texas Medical Center and some of the other high-rise buildings in Houston.
