10/10. My favorite skyline in the south. all those lots you see will be gone and be replaced with more highrises and parks so the skyline will get denser and bigger.

6.5/10

The number of buildings is somewhat impressive.
Density is fairly impressive.
Some of the buildings have interesting shapes but their facades are very dull and monotonous. Overall, the architecture is just too modern for me; I'd like to see some more classical style buildings sprinkled in there, but Houston is just too young for that.

9/10 Great Skyline. Houston has a metropolitan area of 5 million as of 2003. Whoever said that its skyline was too small to have 4 million, you should look at Los Angeles. It has 4X as many people, with a smaller skyline.

Very impressive -- a real "seat of power" vibe. 9.

Its weird how almost all of the people say "10/10" "9/10" (etc) but the highest votes are 3 or less....

I don't think you should vote 3 or less, because its not Chicago, or London, or your home town for that matter...

Too many of the big ones came at once. I am also impressed by the older deco structures. This adds to a layered effect..7.5 I say

That's a damn good skyline.

Plenty of height and density, and the Williams Tower is just superb.

I think our skyline has to be the one with most color...

No color really stands out, because there are alot of them, on each building. (except some of them)

Houston is an easy 10/10. I just wish they'd start putting up some more 800'+ buildings in Downtown!!

I'm normally not a big fan of night shots, mainly because I like to see the buildings and it's obviously tough to do at night, but this pic is awesome! The building with the Continental Airlines logo must be their headquarters. I knew that Gordo moved the HQ downtown a few years ago. I wish Delta Airlines would do the same in Downtown Atlanta.

The clouds are amazing looking and I love the way you can see the blue Continental reflection in the building on the right side of the photo.

I can't believe how many goofs voted less than 3 for Houston. I gave it 9.5.

Well thank you! It is Continental's Headquarters, its 53 stories, 732 ft. (223m). It was only a slip threw the crack that they have there logo there, because Downtown Houston has a sign (logo) ordinence... But rather then loose the headquarters to another city, City Hall let them keep it. Before moving there to Continental Center 1, they were in the American General Center.

I hate the way the huge skyscrapers dont gradualy fade out and just go from huge to little tiny houses..it makes everything look unnatural especialy considering the area is so boring and flat.
