So So

Overall it is rather playful -- different shapes and colours, kind of like a sculpture park.

But the individual buildings themselves -- they are 80s relics.

10/10 One of my top ten skylines in the world. The place is huge and tall buildings are all over the damn place. And just cause a building looks like a block doesnt mean it is I forget the name of the tallest one but its not a Box! it has 5 sides get over it! I dont know why people are so negative....

One of the most clinical skylines in the US, Houston is one of those cities that has a great skyline, but it just doesnt do it for me.

Fantastic density and height, but lacking in feeling and history.

8/10 - any less would be criminal whether I actually like it or not - because there is no denying you guys have a serious skyline there.

^Thus, you have to understand why Houston has the skyline that it does.
If the great oil boom of the '80's had not've slowed down, we may just be
looking at the largest collection of modern skyscrapers in any downtown in
the pics.

My thoughts exactly. Houston has a great skyline, but it just doesn't "click" (for lack of a better word) with me.

8/10 is what I give it for the same reasons.

I like; it's an example of the archetypal (american) city. It actually has quite few scrapers for a city of 4 million, but they are all placed in one spot, clearly marking a city center. Besides, they appear to have been made quite recently, so the city isn't dominated by the worst cases of international style. 9/10.
