The green mountain is one of the Krakow Mounds. There are a kind of memorial for important national heroes and famous Poles. Two of them are very old and much smaller and they were made around the VII century. Other two were made much later. The one on the picture is a Kosciuszko Mound from XIX century. There is a plan to build a 5th one for Pope Jonh Paul II.

the city is nice but there are a number of buildings that could use a face lift. I was there this summer and the I saw a few buildings in disrepair. When they fix those up the old city will have more colour and life, epsecially the Jewish part.
