Thanks you both. I simply pasted a photo of the official map in the background and tried to replicate it on Inkscape.

Nice. I'd say that the SBST one is a lot more accurate. I don't recall having Maglev trains on our system.

Two photos of a trip to Punggol today.
SBST parked a train at EVERY single Punggol West Loop station. ![]() This photo was taken at approximately where the North East Line overrun tunnel ends. Relic of the past or...? ![]() EDIT: You serious, LTA?

Only Soo Teck station was green.
![]() Admittedly...most of the stations exteriors are in terrible condition. SBST will have to refurbish them again when they finally operate them. |

Umm... How about the transport mode symbol. Isn't that the MRT symbol and not the LRT one?

![]() selo, nice work! interesting to find the letters "TBM" on the drain cover at PGL - and strange, because as far as i know, everything on the NEL from HGN northwards was built by C&C, not by TBM... |

You have raised an interesting point. C&C was used from Hougang to Punggol...It depends when the letters were scrawled anyways. Perhaps before the NEL construction all the way back then? ![]() I found piles of extremely rusted nails at various sites around the stations. It seems LTA has not bothered clearing up the areas. What? ![]() In any case, another present, presenting Chinatown MRT Station. ![]() A record 9 hours to finish this map. For whatever particular reason, I don't like it and I question LTA's logic on using - of all colours - yellow for the backdrop. Secondly, where on earth is Exit B on NEL? I haven't been able to locate it on the Streets Directory, OneMap, or even their official LTA display map. I assigned Exit B to DTL henceforth. |

Looks very very real. Did you use only inkscape to do that?
I'm tempted to try making one too but I think it will fail terribly LOL

Yes, only Inkscape. I used a photo of the official map as a reference though.
If you wish to attempt a map, there are 7 layers I use. In chronological order on what appears atop each other... Names Station Line HDB Road Photo Backdrop I usually complete the backdrop colours and road layouts first, followed by the original station without the new links. The reason for placing the photo above the backdrop is that the latter is the easiest and most obstructive canvas, I will only turn on it's visibility after nearly the entire map is complete. http://i40.tinypic.com/e6azgp.jpg The little symbols are last priority. ![]() Quote:

![]() Unofficial logo by modifying the SBST NEL one. SMRT used the same NSEW logo for all their CCL PSDs... |
