Is there something you wish to tell us about the map?

Yes, we have seen this. Someone posted this in the earlier part of this thread.

Erm, no. I've just looked through all the pages of this thread and it hasn't been posted before here unless it's been deleted. Take another look at the map alences posted, spot the difference between it and the one on page 1...

All names on future lines are not real.

Real official lines -
Circle Line under construction - working station names are in process to be renamed officially, including Downtown Extension (it is part of CCL)
North South Line,
East West Line (Between Pasir Ris and Boon Lay, Changi Airport)
Bukit Panjang LRT
Punggol LRT (only one loop is in operation)
Sengkang LRT

All future lines like North Coast Line, Eastern Regional Line etc.. and companies running these lines are not exactly accurate.

Becos the future lines are only in process of being studied. Some will be finalised in alignment. LTA will reveal more in future.

Normally, LTA will not allocate which lines will be managed by SMRT or SBS Transit like this. LTA will put up tender to both operators to bid to run a new line once new line is being built.

So SBS Transit lost tender of running Circle Line to SMRT.

The person who did this map is really good at fabricating station names and putting up lines based on little information from LTA - we all know - Eastern Regional Line, Bukit Timah Regional Line and Jurong LRT.

BTW one error in the map. There is no Terminal 4!

Nice map... but not official one.

looks so convincing though, but I think this person did try to make a logical fake!

Well I think he is predicting what is possible in future, which might have some truth in it.

Yeah, the NEL trains are good. I am glad they chose Alstom for the CCL trains. I heard from my uncle, the CCL trains may arrive this month (his friend works with Alstom).

On a slightly off-topic note, notice that the NSL and EWL have high-user density on both ends of the line where as the NEL only on one side? In other words, there is high traffic on both sides of the two lines while NEL only in oen direction. Look at passenger movement, I think that's why NEL may be loss making.

Nod nod. He may be accurate with proposed lines like North shore line etc..

In fact, Chinatown and Punggol both have stations boxes beneath these stations for future lines.

CCL and NEL trains are no different in models. But there are some differences on these trains. NEL trains are usually 6 cars, CCL trains are 3 cars. NEL trains are powered by overhead power lines while CCL trains are powered by third rail.

I noticed that at one end of the Chinatown station there is this barricaded walkway, I suppose this leads to the DTE station in future. But at Punggol, where is the connection point? I have heard of the North Shore line tunnels being built under the station though.

As for the map, hmmm. I think it could easily be recognised as fake though. Look at LTA's website's map and compare it to the one done by the person. LTA assigns terminal stations with multiple lines 2 end-destination codes (eg: hrabourfront is 6 and 9). Overall, I think its a good effort by the person though, maybe the person was "suggesting" to LTA what they wanted.

Yep, both are Alstom Metropolis indeed. The CCL trains have an additional window though, at the first 2-seats near the driving panel. I suppose this is to aid manual driving as the driver can then look out into the station or something (this feature is lacking on NEL trains). Its October already, I shall ask my uncle to contact his Alstom friend and see what comes up.

Oh I saw one at Tanah Merah station only, I thought they put it because some people tried to jump over the central railtrack... Seems I was wrong.
