Philip C. Johnson



(born July 8, 1906 in Cleveland, Ohio - died January 25, 2005 in New Canaan, Connecticut) was an American architect considered one of the major figures of the modern movement , Then postmodernism, and who, throughout his long career, played a pioneering role in the evolution of contemporary architectural art. His talent was recognized by the award of the Pritzker Prize in 1979, of which he was the first laureate.
