Luis Barragan

Luis Ramiro Barragán Morfín, born on 9 March 1902 in Guadalajara (Mexico), died on 22 November 1988 in Mexico City, is a Mexican architect. He is one of the most famous Mexican architects known for his style, a synthesis between vernacular and modernist architecture. He was awarded the Pritzker Prize in 1980 and his Maison-atelier is listed in 2004 as a World Heritage Site.
