It's hard to find good pics of this building. The picture above shows an angle of the building I've never seen before. ^

Er, I'm afraid not. The building has nothing to do with a fountain pen. I know because I'm with DPA, one of the architects of the building and I was in charge of this project.

The top was modified from the original (which had glass going all the way to the top) to accomodate a facade cleaning system at the top. The revised design at the top was just something we liked. I did think subsequently that it looked a bit like a pen nib though I thought it looked more like a Sheafer nim ;-) Still, like most design inspirations that tend to get associated with buildings, a pen metafor would be a retrofited association!

Looks a lot better in this pic, anyway if the whole thing was glass would look a WHOLE LOT better. They shouldnt have added that white area.

Very original design, but doesn't suit my tastes. I give it a 7.5/10.

The curved glassy part doesn't integrate too well in the not-curved glassy part. The non-glassy part doesn't integrate too well with the glassy part. The spire doesn't integrate well at all - except at night.
It seems to me that too many good ideas were squeezed together in this building, and the result is not so good. Night look is OK.
