The Twin Towers had the Vertical look, now the NY Times will have bars that give it the Horizontal look.

The proximity of the entrance to the street is a bit scary. I'm sure there will be some type of huge concrete planters or the such in front of the building. Most of the buildings around that area have them. It leaves them with no type of GRAND open space in the front of the building. I guess they make it up with the supposed open terrance garden. To bad it's only open to employees.

The outdoor skydeck from The Empire 25 movie theatre is your best bet.

I love how the building maximizes natural light and the building provides much more!

In the open space / cubicle environment, you have the best views in all directions.

If you have your own office, if you have a view, it's usually in one direction only.

This layout is tremendous!

Thanks, yet again to our King of scrapers, Carlos!

I think it would've looked much better if the bars didnt stick out of the side of the building.

I was thinking that too earlier but I think if the whole facade is finished it would look really nice on the building.

I think in this case though, they are giving it more depth, interesting perspectives. A smooth finish sitting flush is great too, but there is an abundance of modern towers with perfectly flat facades as it is. I think we'll find this rather unique for such a tall building.

Whether one is going to like it or not, will be really pretty subjective eh? Gotta think more so along the lines of what is relative (and relevant).

The facade makes the building look very unique. I had a feeling it would look much better once they start covering the building with the "bars." Nice pictures Carlos.
