Pakistan is booming, and the economy is developing at a rapid pace.

But I think more Pakistani members should discuss projects. The Pakistanis on this forum don't even discuss the projects, so no one else does either.

Anyways, as they say in the West, 'Don't hate, Appreciate'.
They building 13 satelittes citys around Shanghai for 30.000 - 80.000 people and nobody talking about this.

The people here just want pics, because a pic is much more worth than 1000 words

^ I even posted picture of the Karachi Creek City project as an update, where 32 highrises would come up. No one answers. I guess in 'Pakistan's case' not even pictures matter.

Unless this tower is over 60-storey's, it'l fail to get the 'tallest in Pakistan' title. Bahria already has plans for a 60-storey tower, at Clifton, in Karachi.

I dont think so, 4B Marketing plans twin towers and I dont think they will be taller than 55 storeys.

Nice to see Pakistan cherishing the memory of the late Sheikh Zayed, who loved the country.

Details on the height haven't been released yet. As construction begins next month, more details will start to pour in.

I don't think the SZ Twin Towers would be the tallest in Pakistan, there are other bigger, and taller buildings being announced, but I have a feeling that this structure would be around the 50 storey mark.

At the end of the day, its a beautiful addition to the historic city of Lahore.

I think these will be about 200m tall. These towers will get the status of tallest buildings of Pakistan and the first to break the 200m barrier, these towers might become the second tallest when that Bahria building is complete but They will be the tallest twin towers in Pakistan.

4B Marketing also has plans for twin towers, they are being designed by a foreign company and I think they will be more on the elegant side. More details will come by the end of June (that is when the construction starts). 4B Marketing want them to be the tallest in Pakistan. Who knows they might be taller than these towers.

Competition is always good. When there is competition better and bigger buildings will be built.

Emaar-Dhabi Group JV plan $200m real estate project in Lahore
BY HASEEB HAIDER

1 May 2005

ABU DHABI — Emaar Al Bilad Pakistan Ltd, a joint venture of real estate giant, Emaar Properties and Abu Dhabi-based Dhabi Group, is announcing a $200 million flag-ship real estate project in Lahore, Pakistan, an official said.

"In collaboration with the government of Punjab, we are developing a 45,000 square metres prime piece of land in the centre of the metropolis into a bustling city centre", said Bashir A. Tahir, CEO of Dhabi-Group, in an interview with Khaleej Times.

The project will include a 400-room five-star hotel, two multi-storied office buildings and a huge shopping mall," he said.

He said that an announcement will be made on May 12, in Lahore unveiling the project, while matters regarding the financing and project designs were being discussed at the moment.

About the Emaar Al Bilad Pakistan (Pvt) Limited, a joint venture company, Bashir said Dhabi Group has 70 per cent stake in the company, while remaining shares were owned by Emaar Properties.

Talking of Dhabi Group's telecom project, he said the Warid Telecom, which last year had won a license to operate a GSM mobile service would start its service from May 11, at a ceremony to be held in Islamabad.

Bashir said that to start with, the Warid Telecom will have a capacity of 1.5 connections with a network in 28 main cities. " Within the next two months, one million more connections would be added to the network with connectivity to 22-cities and by the year-end the mobile service would hook-up 100 cities, which none of the other competitors could have done in ten years of their existence," he said.

The company last year obtain $200 million loan from 18 Pakistani banks, to finance its network, after winning a license, at an auction for $291 million.
