This building will be amazing!

New York is in a league of its own!

What other city has a 950 tower like this under construction, with an 850 tower by Renzo Piano down the street and a tower by Foster up the street (let alone scores of other massive towers under construction)?

HK and Shanghai have a lot of towers but not works of art by Foster, Gehry, Piano, Calatrava, etc. NY rules!

That pic is almost an optical illusion how the spire is seen through the windows.

I was thinking the same thing. You look at Burj Dubai, SWFC and other buildings with a strong concrete core and these New York buildings are steel skeletons. Maybe there's something we're not seeing.

Nice looking building though.

In NYC, residential buildings are constructed of concrete frames, and commercial buildings are constructed of steel.

This is one of the most attractive buildings under construction in the world. To truly appreciate it, see the animation on the developer's website (www.durst.org). Angles of this 950 sculpture that are not apparent in still photos will blow you away!
