It is, indeed, a very nice building. But another huge spire next to the one atop the Death Star, (I mean, 4 Times Sq)? Anyone else getting spired out?

Maybe this one will be ok with a spire.

What NYC really needs is the old World Trade Centers back and about 6-8 1600ft+ buildings gracing the skyline.

I would like to know how many truck loads of steel it would take to build this building. I bet the figures are massive.

Yes, it is!! It's directly behind the lorry with the timber planks in the background this pic TowersNYC posted:

Here is what The Hippodrome used to look like b4 the new cladding: 2003 pic of Hippodrome

1 Bryant Park AKA BoA Tower will be 288m/945ft to its structural height ie to the top of its crown. Its architectural spire will reach 366m/1,200ft. It will most certainly prove to be a great addition to midtown Manhattan.

BTW This will be New York City's first fractal-style skyscraper on its anticipated completion sometime in 2008.

Great, but this steel is not the tower is it? I think this part will be a lowrise between Conde Nast and this tower...

So contrustion on the tower has still to start.

I'm gonna bet, 84.000 ton, structural steel contract. ( i hope, that at least fabrication, took place in the USA.!!!)

This is going to be like 1960 revisited, when the Chase and the PanAm, rose into the skyline....... Massive.!!
