I think the tower complex will wreck the New York skyline.

Freedom Tower, it is so typically American. Embarrasing is the word!

That's ******* horrible man.

What's so bad about Freedom Tower? I think it's great. The U.S.A is the leader of the free world, so why the hell not? Atleast it stands for something... something one can be proud of... something one can relate to... something some may desire even more where they may be less fortunate and not have the freedoms the "free world" does.

well, i dont know..."Tower of the Arabs" - hmmm, sounds lame to me...

And dont post those plane crashing pics on this thread - not very funny.

About the freedom tower, there are many other countries with freedom taht dont name their buildings that. kinda lame how the US is "patriotic crazy" with freedom fries, freedom tower, Operation Iraqi Freedom, etc etc...argh....

BAN ALONSO that was in poor taste, and made me feel physically sick. the freedom tower is a crap name for an ugly building, but IS a memorial to all the lives lost in 911, and that is completely tasteless.

I think dubai has the biggest problems with names, because they build too many buildings and have run out.

I'm surprised that this thread hasn't been deleted already, with all the negativity going around.

They could call it "E Pluribus Unum" Tower or the "New York Tower". I also think Freedom Tower is cheesy and corny. Too much cheese and corn ...

the EMPRESS STATE BUILDING nr where i live in london, the most blatant ripoff of a skyscraper name ive ever seen. Trying to make up for all the town and city names they've stolen.

c'mon guys, I really didn't want to insult anybody. I just didn't have a clue, which freedom tower you are talking about. so I entered this name in google's image search and this pic was one of the first. didn't expect it will cause such a reaction.

whatever, if it is a reasonable reason for banning - BAN ME.

Well, that depends how you define "free". USA is a corrupted country with a corrupted and shitty government IMO. Their definition of "freedom" and "freeing a country" is sometimes to bomb it to the stone age. That is not what i call freedom. And, it is a cheesy and corny name, still.

- Diamond of Instanbul, now THAT is cheesy
- The Arch, blah
- Cosco Tower I actually like this one, it's kinda funny
