I was born in Saigon but left it as a 5 yo kid. I'm living in Australia now and currently in my final year doing bachelor of business in banking and finance.

I'm so happy there are more and more Viets sharing my interest and contributing to the global awareness of Vietnam in this forum.

Cheers

I'm Polish. I have a doctorate from the U of Chicago. My fiance is in Saigon (not Vietnamese) so I am often there. It's my favorite city in Asia, better than Tokyo or Seoul or HK!!!

I'm Chinese from Taipei, Taiwan. My mom used to take me to Vietnamese restaurants every Sunday when I was in Taiwan and that's how I first got interested in Vietnamese culture

I currently live in Houston TX and we have a lot of Vietnamese here. A good number of my friends are Vietnamese and so are four of my ex-girlfriends. I picked up a little Vietnamese here and there and I am also learning Chu Nom on and off.

I've never been to Vietnam but would like to take a trip there one day.

Oh yeah, I also love pho, goi cuon & bo luc lac

Hi Everybody,

I left Hai Phong after grade 2; now I am in grade 16 in Toronto, Canada. You can see how long I have not been back there.

It's nice to see how fast our country is changing.

I LOVE Bo Luc Lac, it's my favorite Vietnamese dish.

Although recently I started to eat less meat so I have Dau Hu Luc Lac more often.

Geez, calm the heck down...

Dau Hu as in tofu, I don't know if I spelled it right as I am not Vietnamese. It's just like Bo Luc Lac but made with fried tofu instead of beef chunks.

I don't know if it's some kind "new" dish but I've found it at at least 5 different Vietnamese restaurants around Houston.
