Hi, I'm visiting Dubai in late Jan/early Feb and I was wondering if anyone there wants to meet up? I'm a 26 y.o. structural engineer and I've never been out of Australia before, but I thought Dubai just looked too amazing not to visit!

Would love to see the Burj Dubai under construction and again when it's finished.

Well, give me a yell if you want to go look at some stuff there or just have a few beers!

BTW, I'm not really called Slurms...he's a character from Futurama.

Hi guys, my parents visited Dubai recently & they saw this odd looking Building being constructed so they took a picture of it, can anyone tell me what it is?

That's the finishing touches to the Ski Dubai at the new Mall of the Emirates. Its now open for business. Your only allowed to ski from halfway until later this month. The longest run i believe is 450m when opened

Jumeirah Lake Towers - end 2008/2009

palm beach rotana is in bur dubai i believe.
well you won't find bad hotles in Dubai usually.
if it is cheap, why not.

the ibis is not too bad either, if i remember right a friend of mine has been staying there a few months ago.
well you are on SZR though, so not really close to anything except SZR towers

This thread is awesome. What are the women like in Dubai? Whenever I visit a city one of my favorite things to do is go out to the night clubs and meet interesting women.

I've heard that if you go from Dubai to Sharjah, be careful because they are extremely conservative compared to Dubai, why is that?

because women is sharjha are less beautiful than women living in dubai. as simple as that.

Normally Dubai is much richer than Sharjha, so what will happen is that extremely beautiful women won’t find any problem in finding a rich man to marry and then live in Dubai, while less beautiful women will have to accept to get married with a none rich man from Sharjha.

Of course the situation is more complex than this but I hope that my explanations can help you to understand the situation a little bit more clearly.

I don't know both hotels, but from pictures i saw ibis is ok, the question is the location.

any way you might want to vitis www.tripadvisor.com over there people write their opinion concerning hotels from all over the world.
