I might well be on my own on this one but apart from being a famous old name, there's certainly no "wow" factor. The stands are nothing special and poorly design in places (look at the main stand on the first picture, the two end sections don't even point at the pitch, meaning neckache for anyone sat there), as for the atmosphere... yes, on big European nights it's memorable but I've been twice for ordinary league games (vs. Blackburn and Tottenham) and for most of it you can hear the players shout to each other, it was awful. I doubt it was like that in the days of the old Kop, but it's modern equivalent's inhabitants really let it down.

At the risk of starting a scouse civil war and going OT a bit(although the two clubs new stadiums seem to be heavily linked to eachother) I noticed this report on another possiblity for a new 60,000 Everton stadium, this time in the stanley docks rather than their abandoned previous kings dock project.

Great stadium for a great team with a great history!! And also a great future stadium
Most Spanish people are now Liverpool supporters (Rafa, Luis García, Nuñez, Reina, Xabi, Morientes "el Moro", Josemi, Barragán...!)

I was with Liverpool fans, and made some friendship. Liverpool has amazing fans. They have believed the victory and they got it. I'd like you to show some photos from this last and the greatest victory. Victory from the death, incredible...

The waiting list for a season ticket is something like 10 years.
75,000 might be too big, 70,000 I think would be about right....but it seems we're getting a 61,000 seater. |

There is no doubt about it Liverpool are a massive club there support is huge so would say that a 65,000 - 70,000 cappacity would be fair. Liverpool have a huge amount of fans but they have to admit they can't exactly fill say 80,000 every game because of lately they haven't had the same success that they have had in the 70's and 80's so I think 61,000 is a good capacity for the club. It's like my club Tottenham our support isn't as big as Liverpool and Man United but we are some where near the top in most supported clubs in the country. We of late haven't had any success in the past five years and know that 50,000 is the capacity that we can fill. From what I have read we have plans to make the stadium 54,000 http://www.spurscommunity.co.uk/inde...ticle&sid=3614. Which I feel would be the max that Tottenham at this moment in time could fill, if Tottenham were to enjoy the same success that Arsenal and Man Utd have had lately then I think we could fil 65,000.

New Anfield has to happen! It'd be a shame for them not to get it at this point. Why haven't they raised the funds for this yet? I would think that with their history and prestige that they would have moneymen from all over wanting to invest in this.
