impressive how this stadium support 40k viewers. Very nice the sound of the fans singing.

The Kop is okay, but the rest of it is pretty poor. Yep, Liverpool deserve so much better than the current Anfield.

Definately. The supporting pillars in the main stand can be excused as its an old stand, but the three other stands are fairly modern and they are all poorly designed.

This has an overview of restricted view seats at Anfield. Click on each stand, then click on the green "restricted view seats" button below the picture to the right to see the view from the worst seats in the house.

Do they have height limitations there as well?

More than likely. Probably something to do with the right to light law.

liverpool is the biggest club in England after manchester and still has many supporters. they should have a great stadium which can accommodate at least 70k.

Sadly true. It wasn't a very good game at all. You had one team that laboured in vain to create chances (yet still should have scored at least once) and another that was happy to keep possession at the back and seldom looked to attack. Not the best combination for a spectacle really.

New screens will be installed at both ends of the Centenary Stand. It doesn't seem that long ago when fans were up in arms about the presence of a scoreboard at the ground.

I don't think this hints at anything re: redevelopment or a new stadium.

Anfield will always be Anfield to all the Liverpool hardcore, every time I see the top of the Annie rd end as I get closer to the ground, I feel I'm home! What you reckon Peter, Main Stand, Annie Rd, square up and few more rows to the back of the Kop?

One question I do have, is; if we add ten rows to the back of the Kop and square it up, what capacity are we talkin with just those tweeks?

So new satdium is canceled and they will expand the main stand and anfield stand.
Will they just add one tier at the main stand or will it have 3 tiers?

So those ones are canceled
1)
2002: 55.000

2)
2003(?): 70.000

3)
2004: 61.000

updated

4)
2007: 60,000 (expandable to 73,000)

Old Anfield expansion rendering
