I hope we see something happen soon. We have been waiting for years for a new stadium. We need that extra revenue if we want to compete.

Maybe a bit of premature wishfull thinking yet guys, I'm sure it's only a case of when the funds/planning are in place, so fingers crossed we're staying rather than moving, but I'm not counting my chickens just yet...........

I'de rather stay at Anfield if I'm honest. But I can see a new stadium once the Yanks have played there part in cutting the wage bill up!

I know this is asking a bit much because I know that a redeveloped main stand will have a lot more scope for premium seating, and therefore quicker return, however, I hope they start with expanding the Kop sideways and backwards asap. I'm sure 15-16000 is possible in the space we now have by adding a few rows at the back toward/ slightly over WBR and adding wings into the corners of the Main and Kemlyn. Does anyone know whether this is a) feasible b) cost effective as the roof would surely need replacing for going from12500 to 16000

Surely that's a conflict of interests for FSG though, as they need a quality team to fill a bigger stadium whether that be Anfield or Stanley park. Not only that, but we'll need at least Europa if not CL footie every single season to pay for it.

I don't think this hints at anything re: redevelopment or a new stadium.
Have these been installed yet? haven't been on yet this season.

Extending the kop backwards means a new roof. The views at the back are cramped by the existing roof as is. All for maybe a 1000 seats. More may be difficult because of road behind.

But the corners may be worth doing for an extra 5000 plus. New roof in corners needed and supports for ends of adjoining roofs (see how it was done at Westfalen...)

Why save a load of money on players and then spend it on a stadium to make less money? Sounds pretty dumb.

How will they make less money from creating a bigger stadium, plus most likely getting naming rights is a possibility too making it a worthy investment.

I can see extra seating being added to the corners of the Centenary. A little less doubtful at the top of the Kop end however.

A new stadium is no bigger than a redevelopment and is twice the cost for the same revenue. A new stadium makes less than a redevelopment. The difference in cost cannot be made up with naming rights.

As I said, the cost of a whole new roof for a 1000 or so at the back wouldn't be worth it. If however you're considering making a 19,000 kop, you would at least consider it.

Is that even doable? The area at the back of the Kop would need to be bought then and that would mean getting rid of the Park pub. I really like that pub to. I dont think much will happen to the Kop.

Same!

I've heard shouts about the Centenary stand being developed! But then again we've been talking about this new stadium/ redevelopment for years now!

It's fair to say, no one knows apart from JWH I suppose.

To extend backwards is doable but difficult and expensive and perhaps only worth it if the roof is being renewed anyway. Impossible is nothing.

Just remove the current main staind and anfield road stand. Change it with the new proper stand and install the new roof. They should look to mercedes arena stuttgart renovation or molineux project. Make Anfield a five star stadium.

2007: 60,000 (expandable to 73,000)

They can renovate old anfield just like this if they remove the current main stand and anfield road stand.
